1. Project to restore the Wiang Phayao ancient monuments.
It is to restore the lost Ku Wiang back and restore the existing Ku Wiang that has been modified from the original condition. It aims to conserve knowledge, understand the value and connect the relationship between Khu Wiang and Phayao Kwan. This helps the water circulation system in the ditch better, reducing the problem of sewage and promoting knowledge about the Wiang Khu Wiang, the Wiang Gate, and the Wiang Wall.
The North-Moat
The moat was originally a hard deck structure. It was lack of waterfront areas and shade. It was restored the edge of the ditch to be more ecologically friendly by improving the natural bank of the riverbank with a soil slope ratio of 1:3 (h:v) and the use of native aquatic plants to hold the topsoil and treat water in order to create an ecological corridor for living things. Adding shade was done to allow humans to do activities throughout the day. Moreover, the development of footpaths and bicycle paths can increase activity areas as it is close to the community and commerce Karma, which is suitable for being a public waterfront area for people to interact with Ku Wiang and realize the importance of Ku Wiang.
2. Phayao Kwan Improvement and Development Project – Phayao Kwan Rim Area.
This is to restore the ecosystem and promote the use area along the banks of Phayao Kwan, open courtyards or old buildings to be converted to use as activity areas by restoring the waterfront areas to have ecological functions, reducing road size add aisle and bicycle lanes along Kwan Phayao to be user-friendly (pedestrian friendly) by using the tree line Local plants block the pedestrian and car paths.
King Ngam Meuang Monument
It was an area to honor King Ngam Muang Monument – 90th Anniversary Somdet Ya Garden – Learning Park. Originally, the 3 areas were not connected to each other and were not related to the surrounding communities. People in the community cannot access the area easily. And the atmosphere is quite hot due to the large courtyard area and less shade of trees. The area is therefore not conducive to use throughout the day.
Princess Mother’s Garden
The original pond that has been renovated to restore the ecosystem (ecology) with the edge of the pond has a natural appearance, using mainly aquatic plants such as water chestnut grass, bon, earring reed, water bamboo, and kham to treat water and serve as a habitat. It also serves as the food source of various animals and the lotus flower clusters are planted at the waterfront pavilion and wooden walkways to create a pleasant atmosphere, just as it is from November to December that the lotus fields in Kwan Phayao around Wat Ti Lok Aram are unique and become important tourist attractions of Kwan Phayao.
The waterfront walkway was designed with the concept of being user-friendly (pedestrian friendly) on the waterfront area in front of the Princess Mother Park by using the tree line as a barrier to separate the road system and the walkway system, bicycle paths, and clear view of the waterfront area. A floating structure has been erected to extend to Kwan Phayao to reduce the impact on the ecosystem to allow space for coastal plants to grow and be part of the city’s green corridor.
