Museum of Neolithic Civilization: Nong Ratchawat Suphan Buri Archaeological Site has been established to promote historical tourism and preserve ancient civilizations beneath the site, which has potential for further archaeological excavations.
The project’s exhibition focuses on historical relics uncovered in the Nong Ratchawat archaeological site, including three-legged pots, breast-shaped pots, horn-shaped pots, human skeletons, gemstone beads, stone bracelets, stone axes, etc. The history of the excavations at the Nong Ratchawat Suphan Buri Archaeological Site along with skeleton models of various prehistoric humans and extinct animal species are on display. Additionally, we also provide information on tourist destinations located across Thailand to promote historical and cultural tourism.
In terms of preservation, modification and redesign of new structures are made to improve the existing ones which are not suitable and damaging to the topsoil and the civilization in the soil layer, enabling visitors to have a closer experience while preserving remnants of the original civilization. Furthermore, the project site includes a section for archaeologists to conduct research and an educational section, to increase awareness of archaeological relics in the community and contribute to the improvement of development and research in the field.
This project hopes to add value to history and to serve as an example of an organization dedicated to the conservation of Thailand’s historical sites.
